The singletrack in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca has been recognized by several International riders as some of the best trails they have ever been on. This event promise to wrap on a lifetime bike adventure with the most authentic culture and traditions that this region has to offer. This unreal adventure will start in the beautiful and magical city of Oaxaca, venue of many national Enduro races. The meeting point and packet pick up October 31st will be at the base hotel where we will load up bikes to the shuttles and head up to the woods into the community of “La Cumbre Ixtepeji”.
All riders will be set up in nice cabins and give start a 4-day race party! Based on the “Enduro” racing protocol this race will be an individually race with 12-16 timed stages with an average of 90% of descending and the other 10% a mix of flat sections and short climbs. Some of the transitions will be pedally transitions and some other ones will be shuttle assisted. Every day has to be completed on a pre-established overall time; otherwise a time penalty will be applied to the participant. The total sum of the timed stages will be the final result of the racer.
